Biology

The biology course focuses on the study of living things.  This study is divided into several different main areas that include a comprehensive study of the cell and its components and processes, genetics, evolution, classification of living things and the differences between the different kingdoms to which all living things belong.  To meet the requirements of the curriculum, students will be required to perform laboratory procedures.  It is expected that a student taking biology can work well cooperatively and independently as well as turn in work that is of good quality at all times.  Those students who plan to attend post high school education are encouraged to take this course.
